Tina Peterman

Tina Peterman, PhD, LPC, CSCP
Tina Peterman is a professor at Portland State University and founder of Peterman Career Studio, where she provides career counseling, disability-inclusive workforce strategy, and professional training. Her work centers on expanding access to career development for individuals navigating disability, chronic illness, and systemic barriers to employment.
With more than 30 years of experience spanning rehabilitation counseling, counselor education, and clinical supervision, Tina co-developed the Disability Career Consultant Certification Program and has delivered it internationally. She also served as Associate and Interim Dean and completed a year-long executive leadership fellowship through the American Council on Education.
Tina has a longstanding record of leadership and service to NCDA, including five years on the Credentialing Commission (including as Chair), service on the editorial board of Career Development Quarterly, and service as Master Trainer and co-editor of the 4th edition of the NCDA Career Practitioner Supervision Training Program. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in career development and disability studies, served as principal investigator on more than $4 million in federal research grants, and is a Fellow of both NCDA and the American Council on Education.
